UK Elite Soccer – 2015 Highlights

It has been another incredibly successful year for UK Elite Soccer. On the field our programs reached over 100,000 families in 20 states, whilst off the field we have continued to align ourselves with the biggest names in US Youth Soccer to ensure we can continually grow and influence soccer across the United States.

Here are some of the best moment for UK Elite Soccer in 2015.

UK Elite Soccer Go PUMA!

This December, UK Elite Soccer announced a new partnership with industry leading equipment and sports manufacturer PUMA. The partnership will see PUMA become the official uniform provider of UK Elite Soccer and will support UK Elite and their highly successful Team UK Elite tournament teams going forward.

The new partnership is reflective of UK Elite’s continued mission to maximize the sporting potential of individual players, teams and coaches. With growth in over 20 states and with a direct impact to over 100,000 families, UK Elite Soccer has positioned itself as a pioneering force in youth soccer across the whole of the United States.

Craig McGinn, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for UK Elite Soccer believes the partnership will continue to grow UK Elite’s influence as the number one professional soccer coaching company in the United States.

Team UK Elite On Tour.

This summer, Team UK Elite, in partnership with Global Team Travel, partici­pated in two of the biggest international soccer events in Europe. Players from across America joined Team UK Elite to test their skills and share a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Firstly, over 60 Team UK Elite players travelled to San Sabastian, Spain, to play in the Donosti Cup. The teams competed against over 440 soccer teams from 24 different nations, the 10-day trip included tours of Barcelona and Madrid with visits to the Nou Camp and the Santiago Bernabéu, the homes of soccer giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.

Then, over 150 players, parents and coaches headed to San Marino for the Italy International Cup.  The competition featured over 2000 youth soccer players from over 20 different nations. The standard of competition on show was very high, yet, Team UK Elite came home as champions, winning the boys category in front of a partisan Italian crowd!

Aside from the soccer everyone on the tour was able to take in the stunning sights in Milan, including a trip to the breathtaking San Siro and a walk through the Piazza du Duomo.

Both tours saw record numbers of participants and will only continue to grow as we move into 2016. A great year of international soccer for UK Elite. You can read more about joining Team UK Elite here.

UK Elite Leading The Way

Whilst UK Elite Soccer are proud of the work we do off the field, we are also proud of the success we have on it.

Across our regional locations, UK Elite coached teams are competing at the very highest level and having great success in a wide variety of regional and national leagues. To highlight this, Levittown U14 Boys out of Long Island have become arguably the most successful UK Elite trained team in the country.

Coached by Hofstra University Men’s Assistant Coach and UK Elite Director Gary Book, Levittown ended their fall season 20-0 as well as taking home the Columbus Cup and going through the State Cup with an unblemished record.

During this unbeaten run, Levittown beat six of the top ranked teams in the nation in accordance to GotSoccer. The team notably all participated on a UK Elite Residential camp this summer and are looking forward to another successful spring season together.

UK Elite Extra Time.

This year saw the inaugural edition of UK Elite ‘Extra Time’ a brand new digital publication from UK Elite Soccer.

This new and exclusive quarterly magazine is the best place to keep up to date with everything happening across UK Elite Soccer. Each edition will bring you the very latest news from all our programs, partners and UK Elite staff members, celebrating the success we have both on and off the field.

UK Elite Soccer Join With Disney.

Disney Sports partnered with UK Elite Soccer this winter, the partnership will see UK Elite Soccer lead the Disney Soccer Academy Camps at the prestigious ESPN Wide World of Sports facility at their headquarters in Orlando, Florida. Disney have long been synonymous with excellence in sport and this relationship between two industry leaders will only help both parties continue to grow and develop.UK Elite will offer two separate programs running June 20th through to July 1st.

Firstly, The Disney Soccer Academy is a four-day instructional summer camp open to anyone ages 3-18. This camp allows any player, regardless of age or ability, to be exposed to an appropriately developmental and challenging level of coaching. This camp has a focus on individual development through small sided games.

Secondly, UK Elite will be running an Elite Player Option, this is open to players ages 13-18 and is 5-day camp customized for the elite soccer player. Alongside the Disney Soccer Academy curriculum, the Elite Player Option also provides: Full field tactical sessions, video analysis and small group interaction with the onsite professional players.

UK Elite Soccer Offer Graduate Opportunity

This year UK Elite Soccer have looked to develop and recruit a new generation of soccer coaches here in America. UK Elite are committed to recruiting the very best young coaching minds and are proactively supporting the growth of US based coaches.

To highlight this, UK Elite have set up a graduate scheme with West Virginia University. This first of its kind partnership allows students who are studying WVU’s sports coaching course and coaching with local side Mountaineer United, the chance to work with UK Elite Soccer when their studies have finished, joining as a graduate coach.

It is our hope that this partnership will be the first of many and UK Elite will be at the forefront of development amongst professional American soccer coaches going forward.

UK Elite Symposium 2015

On December 9th and 10th, UK Elite Soccer hosted their annual staff symposium under the New York City skyline in Weehawken, New Jersey.
Over 100 staff attended the event which featured numerous guest speakers and presentations aimed at educating and engaging UK Elite staff members in new developments, initiatives and strategies ahead of 2016.

The event was structured to include three separate seminar rooms, running simultaneous sessions, allowing staff in attendance the chance to sit in areas of specific interest to them. Seminars catered for the needs of all UK Elite staff from The Business of Soccer and Social Media Keys & Initiatives to coach led sessions on Exploiting Formation Weaknesses and Game Day Coaching, ensuring every member of staff in attendance had sessions specific to the needs of themselves and their job roles.

UK Elite Go Social!

Lastly, UK Elite Soccer made huge strides in our customer interaction and engagement this year. Alongside the release of Extra Time, UK Elite also improved UKElite.com to bring you more up to date news and opinion from some of the brightest coaching minds across America.

Over social channels UK Elite utilised pioneering streaming service Periscope to broadcast certain session from summer camps and residential camps LIVE to parents and players. The summer also saw UK Elite run a successful Instagram and Facebook campaign allowing you to share your best UK Elite Summer memories.
