Without a doubt playing sport can be a very rewarding and enjoyable experience for kids. Everyone can benefit from regular exercise and exposing kids to any sport or activity at a young age will help them develop physically – as well as creating a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
The American heart association recommends children participate in at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day. Simply by participating in physical activity children will have stronger muscles and bones, control body fat, decrease the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and have a better perspective on life.
Besides enjoying the health benefits of regular exercise, kids who are physically fit sleep better and develop their emotional intelligence so they can handle everything from running to catch a bus to studying for a test.
