As a premier coaching company with deep rooted educational beliefs we address the unique challenges of coaching players of different ages, levels of maturation, experience and genders on a daily basis.
A prime example of this approach is highlighted in the attached lesson plan which demonstrates how a simple coaching session can focus on the psychological, social and emotional aspect of training young female players. A keen awareness of physical strengths and weakness of these athletes is also incorporated.
Female players entering HS need to be focused and encouraged to be assertive. Creating risk takers who counter act their inclination to be too much of a team player will provide a clinical approach to the game. Unlike boys of this age HS female players are often reluctant to dominate and shoot on sight so we encourage risk taking and a positive attitude in the last third of the field.
The attached session focus’s on Shooting address’ techniques and skills while instilling a confident attitude and awareness so female players acquire the necessary skills but also improve their self-confidence and assertiveness so they are more likely to execute them in the game setting.
