Every season the staff development team at UKE have one goal… to motivate and inspire the most accomplished of coaches in the US. Five days and approximately 35 hours of an all encompassing soccer education later the East Coast team is fired up and raring to go!
Steve Jones provided a glowing reference to the UKE staff
“We really have an easy Job, every year the knowledge base our staff possess grows. They always impress me with their commitment to their profession, they are full time coaches who genuinely want to make a difference with every youth soccer player they come into contact with.”
One of the most challenging aspects of the week is a practical teaching component. Every member of staff must complete a coaching session for their peers, daunting to say the least. They are graded and assessed by a member of the professional development team throughout and advised on specific focus areas a coach. We firmly believe that maintaining coaching standards is a key ingredient to the success of our programs and a vital component in our all round soccer culture.
The staff will be continually assessed throughout the spring season before gathering as a group regionally in June for another intense training week.
Below are links to some sample training sessions and you can find hundreds of photographs from the week on our facebook page.
